A leveling agent is an auxiliary agent that prevents uneven dyeing from occurring during dyeing.
A leveling agent is used to improve the quality after dyeing. However, it does not mean that dyeing cannot be done without a leveling agent. Dyeing that mixes dyes tends to cause unevenness in dyeing because the speed at which each dye penetrates into the fiber differs, but a leveling agent suppresses such a phenomenon and slows down the adsorption of the dye by the fixing agent.
